Our Business Development Managers will tailor the training to your requirements at a location convenient for you. Invacare currently have two training modules available:

MODULE ONE - Mattress Care and Maintenance

Nurse getting ready to clean mattressQuality of care indicators include measures to ensure healthcare equipment is fit for purpose. Often, support surfaces are regarded as commodity items rather than pieces of clinical equipment that can improve patient outcomes.

To support you in ensuring your support surfaces offer patient safety in terms of infection control and clinical efficacy, we have designed a mattress care and maintenance module.

Based on the government and BHTA guidelines 'Protect Rinse Dry', our mattress care and maintenance training module provides practical advice to ensure the safety and longevity of static mattresses and also helps to control replacement costs.

Following the introduction of these guidelines and initiatives, many clinicians are re-emphasising their holistic and managed approach to the prevention of pressure ulcers and management of resources.

To assist you, we have designed a training module that gives an overview of pressure ulcers and explains why prevention is important. This module is designed for front line acute and community nurses to improve their understanding and knowledge of pressure ulcers.
